Rattlesnake Cable Company - OBNE - BL-44 Reverb

We are so excited to be working with Brady of Old Blood Noise Endeavors. I've been following Brady for a long time (from the Walrus Audio days to the Coffee and Riffs show on YT). Brady and the team at OBNE have always pushed the envelope a bit. I was excited that he was interested in doing a combined giveaway. He sent over the BL-44 Reverse pedal, which I was very intrigued with. It's a reverse delay, but it goes WAY beyond that.

Here is a brief description from the manual:

"Time is a funny thing. Not necessarily ha-ha funny. Well, maybe ha-ha funny. Would it be ha-ha funny to look at an ocean and say this is linear; when we start swimming forward, we can't swim back ever again? Who's to say. We are not a comedian. But time is a strange thing we all experience. Consistently trying to turn it back, despite the inexorable march. The only real way to help others go back is to tell a story. To tell it so well that they can tell it too. To tell it so well that once you've swum to the other coast, the land dwellers there can see the coast you came from, the swim to get there. Of course, the story is never told quite well enough.

BL-44 is a reverse pedal. It is a true reverse, meaning it will write what you've played to memory, then read that memory from end to start and play it back for you. The magic, the extra twist, the je ne sais wow, comes from the Clock slider. This slider determines the thinking speed of the digital signal processor. It sets everything related to time. It determines the sample rate and the overall length of the reverse playback, and as you slide it, you feel the pitch slide and resettle, just like you'd expect as you play with the forces of time. Further, you have a Speed control, which will cause the system to read through its memory in unexpected ways, catching bits multiple times or missing pieces as it tries to read at speeds different from what was written. Plus, you have volume and mix controls and an on/off switch - I mean, we're all reasonable people here. "
