Win a pair of tickets to see Silversun Pickups!

WW
Experience Silversun Pickups at The Wellmont Theater on Saturday, August 23rd!
Silversun Pickups’ sixth album Physical Thrills came together as a serendipitous
accident during a dark time. The LA band began 2020 by touring in support of
their record released the previous year, Widow’s Weeds. But the pandemic halted
those plans, with the members including guitarist and singer Brian Aubert,
bassist Nikki Monninger, drummer Christopher Guanlao, and keyboardist Joe
Lester, finding themselves stuck at home. In that resting period, Aubert wasn’t
focused on Silversun Pickups; instead, he channeled his energy into taking care
of his son, Nico, while his wife Tracy worked.
But as much as his focus initially shifted from the band, he couldn’t escape the
new melodies germinating in his head. “I would sneak off and start writing these
songs, and I didn’t know what they’re for because I didn’t really think about
Silversun on any level. I was just doing it to keep myself calm and keep myself
company,” says Aubert. The songs were so different from what he’d previously
written for Silversun Pickups that he initially thought he was writing a
musical. There were “dream shanties,” gentler vocals, horror-inspired sounds,
and other exciting new elements coming to mind.
Physical Thrills was colored by the pandemic, but isn’t meant to be solemn;
instead, Aubert explores his own comfort in the temporary, newfound isolation.
There’s a juxtaposition of playfulness with angst from having so much time to
process untapped emotions. That’s something that comes through in the album’s
instrumentation, too, with wide-ranging sounds that transform according to the
weight of the lyrics.

WW
Experience Descendents at The Wellmont Theater on Saturday, August 2nd!
Since first emerging from (and defining) the Southern California pop-punk scene
in 1978, the legendary Descendents have released classic after classic, from
their landmark 1982 LP Milo Goes to College to 2016’s Hypercaffium Spazzinate.
Now, after issuing a flurry of singles to get fans through the past few years,
the band — Milo Aukerman (vocals), Bill Stevenson (drums), Stephen Egerton
(guitar), and Karl Alvarez (bass) — will be touring in support of a new album.
With a very cool twist.
What started with Milo Goes to College now comes full circle on the blistering
9th & Walnut (Epitaph), a “lost album” quietly recorded in 2002 by the MGTC
lineup of Stevenson, Aukerman, Tony Lombardo on bass, and Frank Navetta (d.
2008) on guitar. Audiences should be geared up for shows featuring songs
spanning Descendents’ incredible career, from “Suburban Home” and “Silly Girl”
to “I’m the One” and “Without Love,” and including 9th & Walnut tracks like
first single “Baby Doncha Know” and its incendiary follow-up, “Nightage.”

Win a pair of tickets to see Wild Child!

WW
Experience Wild Child at The Wellmont Theater on Thursday, July 24th!
A Wild Child performance is the closest thing to a real 1960’s Doors concert and
Live Doors Experience. This is not a typical tribute band. Wild Child relies on
recapturing the original: sound, feel, mood, dynamics and delivery of the Doors
music. In true Doors fashion there are no: wigs, props, costumes, or phony
banter between song. It’s about the music and its delivery by top pro musicians
and performers.
This compact touring group has minimal technical requirements to make a big
show. Fly in engagements are a snap. This four piece group has over two decades
of world tour experience and always delivers!
From 2010 to 2013, Wild Child lead singer Dave Brock fronted the touring act
“Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of The Doors.” Being selected by these two
Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame musicians was a huge honor for Dave. This was the
ultimate compliment of his talents and speaks volumes for his credibility as a
doors style front man and vocalist.

Experience Three Dog Night at The Wellmont Theater on Sunday, July 27th!
Legendary music icons, THREE DOG NIGHT, celebrating nearly 5 decades, claims
some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music. In the years 1969
through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits, moved more records or
sold more concert tickets than THREE DOG NIGHT.
THREE DOG NIGHT hits wind through the fabric of pop culture today, whether on
the radio where they are heard day in and day out, in TV commercials or in major
motion pictures — songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come)”, “Joy to the World”,
“Black and White”, “Shambala” and “One” serve to heighten our emotions and
crystallize THREE DOG NIGHT’s continuing popularity.
This Grammy-nominated band is not content resting on its legacy alone. Always
working to expand its audience, THREE DOG NIGHT has embraced and been embraced
by 21st century music technology. New and existing fans buy THREE DOG NIGHT’s
music on iTunes as well as at record stores. In fact, releases from this decade
alone have sold well over a million copies.
Recently, THREE DOG NIGHT began adding new songs to its arsenal by releasing its
first double-A sided single in nearly 25 years. The blistering performance of
“Heart Of Blues” and the timely, beautiful a-cappella ballad “Prayer of the
Children”.
THREE DOG NIGHT also pushed boundaries by recording with the London Symphony
Orchestra, giving fans new and old a chance to experience its dynamic
performances of the hits as well as several new songs. The project, recorded at
the famous Abbey Road studios in London and released to coincide with the band’s
35th Anniversary, added exciting new orchestral arrangements to THREE DOG
NIGHT’s signature sound.
THREE DOG NIGHT maintains an aggressive, year-round touring schedule of over 70
dates a year. The hit filled concerts are performed for generation-spanning
audiences by Danny Hutton (founder/lead vocalist) and Michael Allsup (guitar),
Paul Kingery (bass/vocals), Pat Bautz (drums), Howard Laravea (keyboards) and
David Morgan (vocals). The band’s now-famous name refers to native Australian
hunters in the outback who huddled with their dogs for warmth on cold nights;
the coldest being a “three dog night”.
Boasting chart and sales records that are virtually unmatched in popular music,
THREE DOG NIGHT had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits, including 3 #1 singles, 11 Top
10’s, 18 straight Top 20’s, 7 million-selling singles and 12 straight RIAA

songwriters of that time including Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, Elton John,
Laura Nyro, Paul Williams and Hoyt Axton among many others. The group’s eclectic
taste, combined with its ability to recognize and record hits in a unique,
distinctive and appealing style, resulted in THREE DOG NIGHT dominating the
charts for years.
Now, marking nearly 50 years on the road, THREE DOG NIGHT continues to grow its

Win a pair of tickets to see 1964: The Tribute!

WW
Experience 1964: The Tribute at The Wellmont Theater on Thursday, June 19th!
1964 The Tribute is not endorsed by or affiliated with Apple Corps, LTD.
“1964” focuses on the quintessential moment in history, when The Beatles
actually played before a LIVE audience.
The Beatles toured the world in the early 1960’s, but now only a precious few
remain who actually saw them LIVE. Who actually felt the “mania” that brought
them to world acclaim.
Today, all that remains are a few scant memories and some captured images in
pictures and on poor quality film and video.
“1964” meticulously re-creates the “MAGIC” of those LIVE Beatles’ performances
with artful precision and unerring accuracy.
For those that never saw The Beatles LIVE and always wanted to know what it must
have been like...this is as close as anyone could possibly get to...FEELING the
MAGIC!
For over 30 years, “1964” has thrilled audiences with what is considered to be
the most authentic and endearing tribute to The Beatles.
This has been accomplished by a steady and consistent cast of talented
professional musicians, who painstakingly recreate the look, feel and note for
note sound of an actual LIVE Beatles performance.

Experience Robin Trower at The Wellmont Theater on Wednesday, June 18th!
Few would dispute that the title of Robin Trower’s latest album – ‘No More
Worlds To Conquer’ – is a fair summary of the thumbprint he has left on the
musical universe. But as he reminds us, it should not be misinterpreted as his
mission being accomplished. “I definitely feel like I’m still reaching,” he
considers, “with the guitar, and the songs, and everything else.”
For more than six decades, Robin Trower’s career has known no bounds. At the age
of 79, the British guitarist can reflect on a journey in which he has planted
flags across the musical sphere and played every role imaginable. He’s been the
driving force behind Sixties icons Procol Harum. The transatlantic solo star who
filled US stadiums with 1974’s Bridge Of Sighs. The collaborator and occasional
supergroup member. The elder-statesman songwriter whose late period still
crackles with invention.

Win a pair of tickets to see Get The Led Out!

WW
Experience Get The Led Out at The Wellmont Theater on Sunday, June 15th!
From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO)
have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it
to the concert stage. The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran
musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard
before. Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-create
the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin
themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album...GTLO
delivers three guitarists on stage. No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings
what the audience wants...a high energy Zeppelin concert with an honest,
heart-thumping intensity.
Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” Get The Led Out offers a
strong focus on the early years. They also touch on the deeper cuts that were
seldom, if ever heard in concert. GTLO also include a special “acoustic set”
with Zep favorites such as “Tangerine” and “Hey Hey What Can I Do.” GTLO has
amassed a strong national touring history, having performed at major club and
PAC venues across the country. GTLO’s approach to their performance of this
hallowed catalog is not unlike a classical performance. “Led Zeppelin are sort
of the classical composers of the rock era,” says lead vocalist Paul Sinclair.
“I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of
our time. As cliché as it sounds, their music is timeless.” A GTLO concert
mimics the “light and shade” that are the embodiment of “The Mighty Zep.”
Whether it’s the passion and fury with which they deliver the blues-soaked,
groove-driven rock anthems, it’s their attention to detail and nuance that makes
a Get The Led Out performance a truly awe-inspiring event!

Win a pair of tickets to see Lake Street Dive!

WW
Experience Lake Street Dive at The Wellmont Theater on Wednesday, May 14th!
Lake Street Dive have pushed the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force,
not only through their eclectic sound — a boldly original cross-pollination of
soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more — the five-piece’s all-embracing ethos
has also made them a beloved live band known for building a potent connection
among every crowd. In the making of their new album Good Together, vocalist
Rachael Price, bassist/background vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/background
vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and
guitarist/background vocalist James Cornelison reinforced the deep sense of
purpose behind their output, often turning their attention to the many factors
driving us apart today (e.g., unchecked technological growth, culturally imposed
isolation, the cult of relentless self-optimization). Born from a mindset they
refer to as “joyful rebellion,” Good Together arrives as a body of work both
gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic
singing-along.
The follow-up to 2021’s Obviously, Good Together finds Lake Street Dive working
again with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary
Clark Jr.). With its sonic landscape encompassing everything from R&B to funk to
Brazilian pop, the album opens on its title track: a left-of-center love song
celebrating the thrill of defying expectation and following your heart’s desire.
Next, on “Dance with a Stranger,” Lake Street Dive once again prove their
undeniable gift for crafting feel-good songs with an illuminating message,
simultaneously inducing a carefree euphoria and gently fostering empathy. The
wildly cathartic “Walking Uphill” presents gripping meditation on the work of
self-repair, while “Seats at the Bar” puts a sweetly playful twist on the
classic love song. And on “Twenty-Five,” Price shares a stark and lovely ballad
steeped in tender reminiscence of a long-ago romance. All throughout Good
Together, Lake Street Dive tap into the palpable camaraderie that’s fueled the
band since their formation, ultimately delivering their most collaborative,
expansive, and powerfully exuberant work to date.

Win a pair of tickets to see Little Feat!

WW
Experience Little Feat at The Wellmont Theater on Friday, May 9th!
The members of Little Feat emerged from the pandemic with their sense of humor,
chops, and collective joy in playing intact. Over the past three years, they’ve
focused tours on their epic live album Waiting for Columbus and re-issues of
their second through fourth albums (Sailin’ Shoes, Dixie Chicken, and Feats
Don’t Fail Me Now). Audience response has been rapturous.
The band builds on a deep, over 50-year history. Little Feat used a combination
of elite musicianship and brilliant, idiosyncratic songwriting to create a
repertoire that transcends all boundaries. California rock, funk, folk, jazz,
country and rockabilly mixed with New Orleans swamp boogie led to a powerful
sound that has kept the audience dancing for decades.
Their groove – in songs like “Dixie Chicken,” “Spanish Moon,” “Fat Man in the
Bathtub,” and “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now” – was so infectious it allowed them to
endure and press on even when losing their founder, Lowell George, and founding
drummer, Richie Hayward. They’re in top form now with Scott Sharrard on lead/vox
and Tony Leone on drums/vox, and with founder Bill Payne on keys/vox, Fred
Tackett on guitars/vox, Kenny Gradney on bass, and Sam Clayton on
percussion/vox.
Now it’s time for something new. Their creativity has been renewed, and 2024
will see the release of the brand-new Sam’s Place, in which Feat backs their
linchpin conga player, Sam Clayton, on vocals. The album features a new song,
“Milk Man,” by Sam, Scott, and Fred. There’s a live version of “Got My Mojo
Working.” Sam and Bonnie Raitt duet on Muddy’s “Long Distance Call.”
Sam’s Place scratches a deep itch. Sam added, “I’m very happy because I was
never expecting anything like that. I mean, I have wanted to, but I just wasn’t
expecting it to come to the fruition. It was a long wait, but it’s satisfying.”

Win a pair of tickets to see The Man In Black!

WW
Experience The Man In Black at The Wellmont Theater on Saturday, April 12th!
With his strikingly similar looks, baritone voice, and spot-on mannerisms, Shawn
Barker’s uncanny resemblance to the original “Man In Black” revitalizes the true
character and spirit of Mr. Cash himself, one of America’s greatest musical
icons, for a truly one-of-a-kind show. The energetic show features Barker in
character throughout the entire evening, walking the audience through each era
of Cash’s life and music, including hits like “Folsom Prison Blues,” “I Walk
TheLine,” “A Boy Named Sue,” “Hurt”and “Ring of Fire,” complete with a full
backing band.
Shawn Barker’s first Man In Black show was held in 2004 at a casino in Niagara
Falls and has since performed over 1,000 shows in 12 countries, selling more
than half a million tickets over the course of his career. Born and raised in a
working-class suburb of St. Louis, Barker took a schoolboy love for singing in
church with his family and turned it into a career. The path to his current
success wasn’t a straight line from gospel choir to Johnny Cash tribute act.
After serving his country in the Army, Barker returned home to Missouri, took a
job as a carpenter, and spent all of his free time learning how to play the
guitar. He developed strength and versatility in his voice by modeling his
crooning on a cast of legends–Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Buddy
Holly and Gene Vincent.
His performances quickly turned from hobby to profession, but oddly enough,
Barker’s first touring gigs were portraying Elvis, not Johnny Cash. Everything
changed, however, when Barker was asked to audition for the part of Cash in a
Hollywood production, as it became evident to the director and Barker himself
that Johnny Cash was his true calling. From that point there was no turning
back.

Win a pair of tickets to see Spiritbox!

WW
Experience Spiritbox at The Wellmont Theater on Tuesday, April 15th!
For many artists, a meteoric rise can often mean a sudden plateau. However, for
2X Grammy-nominated progressive heavy metal mainstays Spiritbox, there appears
to be no end in sight on their near-constant ascent to the top. Formed in 2017
in the picturesque yet isolated region of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, by
vocalist Courtney Laplante and guitarist Mike Stringer, Spiritbox would fully
cement themselves as a household name in the summer of 2020 with the release of
their blistering breakout single “Holy Roller,” along with a host of other
captivating singles shortly after, resulting in critical and commercial acclaim.
With new and existing fans eagerly watching their next move, Spiritbox, which
also consists of drummer Zev Rose and bassist Josh Gilbert, exceeded every
expectation imaginable in 2021 with the release of their genre-defining debut
studio album Eternal Blue via Pale Chord/Rise Records. Eternal Blue, which
debuted at #13 on the Billboard 200, kicked open the doors of the heavy metal
scene and rewrote the genre’s playbook with 12 stunning tracks including the
smash single, “Circle With Me.”
Following a whirlwind touring cycle for Eternal Blue and the experimental 2022
Rotoscope EP, Spiritbox wrote and recorded their critically acclaimed EP, The
Fear of Fear, released in November 2023. The EP featured the lead single
“Jaded,” which was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 66th Annual
Grammy Awards. Exactly one year later, Spiritbox were nominated for a Grammy
once again in the Best Metal Performance category, this time for the
unapologetically heavy The Fear of Fear track “Cellar Door,” which also inspired
celebrated folk/doom metal artist Chelsea Wolfe to cover the song in
stripped-down fashion on her latest EP, Unbound. With two Grammy nominations
under their belt, Spiritbox have solidified their status as one of the most
influential acts in modern metal today.
For fans patiently waiting for new music, Spiritbox satiated the demand this
past September with the incendiary single “Soft Spine.” The pummeling track took
the band’s signature visceral sound and dialed it up to eleven in terms of
intensity and musicality to rave reviews. In October, the band also shared their
most recent collaboration “TYG,” with iconic rapper Megan Thee Stallion, with
whom the band worked on last year’s fan favorite remix of the song “Cobra.”
After months of online speculation and rumors of a long-awaited new studio
album, Spiritbox is now elated to announce their brand new sophomore LP, Tsunami
Sea. Produced by longtime collaborator Dan Braunstein, along with Spiritbox
guitarist Mike Stringer, Tsunami Sea is undoubtedly the band’s most vulnerable
and introspective release to date and the 11 track album finds the group not
only returning to their roots but venturing into new waters as well at full
steam. Along with the announcement of Tsunami Sea, Spiritbox shared the anthemic
and melodically-driven new single “Perfect Soul.” Tsunami Sea is out March 7th
via Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG, and much like the title suggests, you can
expect a tidal wave of exciting moments in the next chapter of Spiritbox’s
career.
