Who is Mirandus?

True Adventure: Mirandus is a true adventure game, with no maps or NPC telling you what to do. In Mirandus, players have absolute freedom of choice - there are no maps, no quest givers.

Open World: Explore and be the first to discover and master the land. Players can set out into the wilderness alone to try their fortunes against the monsters of the deep woods and dungeons, join with one of the monarchs to serve as a knight in their court or set up shop in one of the five great citadels of the realm.

Avatars are Special: Mirandus is an exclusive world, with only 50,000 avatars known as the Exemplars. Only the finest warriors, crafters, and explorers will have access. Players take on the roles of Exemplars - each imbued with special powers that help them explore and uncover the secrets of Mirandus.

Mirandus also features a player-owned economy. Player ownership of in-game assets is a central mechanic, with players being able to hold land deeds which allow them to claim parts of the wilderness and set up holdfasts ranging from small farms to massive cities. This also applies to what you find in the world – what you own is in demand, and what you equip and use is also player-crafted as well.

Mirandus is a dangerous world. The risks of exploring Mirandus are great and death carries massive penalties. But if you can survive and thrive, you will become a true hero - when you stride into a tavern, tales of your deeds will follow.

The rewards for exploring Mirandus are great, however, for Mirandus is rich in the arcane substance Materium, a concentrated magic that allows players to channel its power to cast spells, craft the impossible, and even raise a slain hero from the dead.

Why Cemeteries are so Important in the Mirandus Ecosystem?

A side effect of the powerful magic that hides throughout Mirandus: there are frightening wild beasts on the prowl who will always be eager to make a quick meal of your avatar’s flesh. Death is waiting, and no matter how skilled an adventurer you turn out to be, it will always be a part of your journey.

Fortunately, in Mirandus, death is not always the end. If the right skills and various costs are combined with the right hallowed location, resurrections are regularly possible.

Enter the Cemetery

In the recent AMA with Michael McCarthy, it was revealed that the Cemetery will become known as not only a resting place for the dead, but one of the rare locations at which resurrections are achieved. Better yet, you now have a chance at ownership and control over these gateways to life and death. To have that control, you must simply purchase one of the three different Mirandus Cemeteries (buildings), which are on sale now in limited supply.
