Firm Pads and Slants are ideal for:

• Horses that are comfortable with the concept of SURE FOOT Pads.
• Confident, well-balanced horses ready to progress to a more challenging surface.
• Encouraging horses to engage their core muscles to help improve overall stability.

Level 3 - Firm Pads “give” laterally (i.e. sideways) meaning they are less stable than the Level 1 – Physiopad or the Level 2 - Hard Pad. The Firm Pad allows horses to explore a larger range of weight shifts by yielding to the horse’s hoof in a side-to-side manner. They are the next challenge level in the SURE FOOT Program after the Physiopad and Hard Pad. That is, horses that are comfortable with these two Pads may progress to the Firm Pad.

Level 3 - Firm Slants (Angles) are made of the same material as the standard Firm Pads and have the same lateral “give.” Since they are more demanding than Hard Slants, many horses may find them beneficial.
