Ten years ago I launched Off-Grid with one knife and a plan to build blades that get used, not babied.
In 2018 I designed the Alpha-Dog to answer one question. One of my favorite knives ever is the Becker BK2, and I wanted to build a knife that would eat BK2s for breakfast. Bomb proof, full tang, the toughest thing in our lineup. It's still going strong today as the Off-Grid classic overbuilt fixed blade.
About five years back, I pulled a handful of first-run Alpha-Dogs in Bohler K110 and took them to a Cerakote shop near me. Six knives came back as one-of-one customs. Full tang, Cerakote over the steel and over the G10 handles. Each one carries a one-of-one logo lasered onto the blade, created for these six knives and never used on anything else. Nothing like them before, nothing like them since.
I was going to keep them. Or sell them at $500 apiece. Instead they sat in the vault while Off-Grid grew up around them.
For the 10-year anniversary, all six go to six winners. Each one ships with our OGK Custom Leather Alpha Sheath. When they're gone, they're gone. These will never be made again.
