Wouldn’t it be loverly to see one of the world’s most beloved musicals live on stage?
Celebrating 70 years since its Broadway debut, Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady is coming to Melbourne in a lavish new production, opening the refurbished Ian Potter State Theatre at Arts Centre Melbourne.
Based on the 2016 Australian production directed by Julie Andrews, this timeless musical tells the heart-warming story of Eliza Doolittle, a spirited Cockney flower girl whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Professor Henry Higgins.
Starring Nathaniel Parker as Higgins and Claire Lyon as Eliza, the production is filled with razor-sharp wit, unforgettable characters and a wonderful score featuring classics such as Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?, I Could Have Danced All Night and Get Me to the Church on Time.
