June 6, 1944—D-Day. More than 150,000 Allied troops embarked on Operation Overlord, the largest amphibious invasion in history. Facing an entrenched enemy along the coast of Normandy, they advanced by land, sea, and air in a battle that would change the course of history. Thousands gave their lives that day, establishing the foothold that would lead to victory in Europe less than a year later.

Designed and crafted by ALTAMONT®, this commemorative 1911 tells the story of D-Day through deeply detailed engraving. The left side of the slide depicts Allied forces landing on the beaches of Normandy, while the right features the USS Texas providing naval support offshore. Across the top, a B-17 Flying Fortress and P-51 Mustang soar above a map of Normandy and the English Channel, with "OVERLORD" deeply carved to the rear. A soldier's M1 carbine and helmet are engraved on the front strap, while American Walnut grips and a case-hardened frame complete the classic, historic appearance.

Limited to just 300 examples, the D-Day Commemorative was created not only as a collector's piece, but as a lasting tribute to the courage, honor, and sacrifice of those who served—and to the generations of American veterans who have carried those values forward.
