Hike. Discover. Relax
Beschreibung
Tucked into the Potomac Highlands and surrounded by the rugged beauty of Grant County, WV, this two-night getaway blends mountain adventure, quiet moments, and the kind of authentic experiences that make you want to stay just a little longer.
Spend two nights at The Hermitage, a peaceful mountain retreat that gives you room to slow down after a full day outside. Wake up early and head to the water with Breezewood Adventures for a half-day guided fishing trip on some of the finest rivers in the region. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking to spend a few quiet hours on the water, it’s the kind of outing that reminds you why people keep coming back to these mountains.
Back on land, explore the underground world of Smoke Hole Caverns, where winding passageways, cool limestone chambers, and West Virginia's largest gift shop offer a different side of the Potomac Highlands. Then lace up your boots and take in the views at Seneca Rocks or along North Fork Mountain Trail, where ridgelines, forest overlooks, and wide-open scenery make every mile worthwhile.
When the day winds down, settle in for dinner for two at Cheetah B’s in Petersburg. This local favorite pairs laid-back mountain hospitality with an elevated menu featuring hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, hearty pastas, and family-friendly favorites, making it just as welcoming after a day on the trail as it is for a night out together.
